Every year, Russell Simmons sets aside one Summer night to take over the Hamptons with his highly anticipated Art For Life fundraiser.
Last night tons of celebrities came out to support the movement – which celebrates everything art – and the star-studded event was filled with huge donations, performances, food, drinks, and lots of dancing!
The event was hosted by the RUSH Philanthropic Arts Foundation, (founded by brothers Danny, Russell, and Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons). Over 1,000 guests were in attendance, enjoying themselves in the name of art and dancing the night way.
While the evening had tons of fun surprises – including appearances from Rick Ross, Angela Simmons, and JoJo Simmons, as well as performances by Doug E. Fresh, Kurtis Blow, and Naughty By Nature – it was also all about the honorees who were praised for their generous donations.
Some of the honorees included Mayor Michael Bloomberg, his animal activist daughter Georgina Bloomberg, Valentino D. Carlotti, and the lovely longtime Art For Life supporter Kimora Lee Simmons.
The event was amazing; Guest Rochelle Riley made that obvious with one tweet:
