2008 American Idol finalist Michael Johns has passed away and at just 35 years old.
According to the medical reports emerging, there was a blood clot in his ankle and that could have been the cause of his death, but there is no confirmation yet.
Back in Season 7 of American Idol, the Australian-born rock n’ roll singer came in eighth during the finales. Since then, he’d released a post-Idol album titled, Hold Back My Heart, as well as a 2012 EP titled Love & Sex.
American Idol hosts Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, and Simon Cowell have all responded to the young star’s death via Twitter:
