Though Beyonce’s amazing 15-minute performance was all anyone could talk about after last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, it was Blue Ivy Carter’s adorable dance moves and precious commentary that really stole the show.
The tiny tot looked on from the audience as her mom slayed a 15-song mash-up of songs off her self-titled visual album Beyonce. From the safety and comfort of Jay Z’s lap, Blue watched in amazement and did her best to keep up with her mogul mama’s choreography.
Cameras cut to the tiny tot multiple times during the performance, capturing this special moment between baby Blue and Hov.
As the performance came to an end, the father-daughter duo quickly made their way on stage to present Queen Bey with the Village Vanguard award. As he presented his wife with her moon man, Jay called Beyonce the “greatest living entertainer,” prompting applause from the audience as well as Blue Ivy, who excitedly proclaimed, “yay, mommy!”
The first family of hip-pop shared a kiss before Mrs. Carter attempted to deliver her tearful acceptance speech.
“I have nothing to say,” she told viewers. “But I’m full of gratitude.”
