Lynn Bynes is breaking her silence following a series of troubling tweets from her daughter.
“I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years,” Lynn’s attorney Tamar Arminak told E! News. “Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda’s mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband’s character could be slandered in such a way.”

Amanda Bynes is back in New York and her bizarre behavior is at an all time high.
The troubled starlet was out shopping in the big apple earlier this week when things took a turn for the worst. Surveillance cameras show Bynes standing in the middle of Pookie & Sebastian dancing wildly while fellow shoppers try to avoid her.
In the middle of her one-woman show Amanda is approached by her driver. She then throws her arms around him and launches what looks to be either a full-body-search or a massage.
Amanda reportedly attempted to steal a shirt from the store, but was confronted by a store clerk. She tried the same thing a few hours later in Barneys, allegedly trying to walk out with a hat.
Neither store filed charges.
Bynes took to Twitter this morning, but did not address the shoplifting allegations directly.

Following this series of less serious tweets, Amanda began alleging that her father had been verbally and physically abusive to her as a child. She claims that she is sitting down with a lawyer who she hopes will be able to help her obtain a restraining order against her dad.

According to TMZ Amanda’s parents are heading to New York City today to attempt to get her checked into a mental health facility. Bynes reportedly found out her parents were coming and immediately headed for LaGuardia Airport.
The 28-year-old was asked to leave the airport after screaming at a ticket agent. TMZ reports that Amanda was frustrated that the flight she was hoping to board wasn’t leaving immediately. She left the facility and allegedly drove straight to JFK Airport.
Sources say Amanda’s parents have been trying to get Amanda to get help for her mental illness, but she refuses. Now, desperate to help her, they’ve reportedly picked a specific institution and booked a room and are hopeful that they can get Amanda on board.
