Kanye West is a real romantic.
One year after popping the question to his now-wife Kim Kardashian on her special day, Kanye whisked his lady away on a surprise b-day vacation.
According to E! News, ‘Ye woke Kim up at 3 a.m. on the morning of her birthday with both their bags packed and ready to go. They then traveled to the airport, where the duo hopped on a private jet to Hawaii. The couple was spotted by eyewitnesses having breakfast early Tuesday morning at a luxurious hotel near the tropical city of Maui.
“Good morning,” Kim captioned her snapshot of a stunning Hawaiian sunrise adding, “#BdaySurpriseGettaway.”
She later uploaded a similar shot, writing, “#Daycation #Hawaii.”
Though the couple and their baby girl, North West, are currently livin’ the good life, Kim recently said North will have to work for what she wants as she grows up.
Mrs. West was chatting with London’s Evening Standard, when she shared plans to have North earn certain special possessions by working hard.
“I was saying that earlier to my friends, ‘I wonder what North’s first job is gonna be.’ And they were like, ‘what? She’s gonna have a job?’ and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Of course she is,'” she revealed. “She will have to work for what she wants.”
Though she has two of the most fashionable parents in Hollywood and she’s already graced the glossy pages of Vogue magazine and CR Fashion Book, Kim says it’s too early to say for sure if North will have a future in fashion.
“Maybe she’ll be a designer,” she said. “Who knows? It’s too early to tell.”
Regardless of the path she takes, Kim hopes she’ll share her love of hard work and understand that nothing will be handed to her. The middle Kardashian sister says these are lessons she learned at a young age.
“I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn’t buy me. And I remember they were $400, and I had to save for the entire year to get them,” she shared. “We didn’t get anything, we had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and save.”
We’re sure Nori will get a little spoiled here and there – after all, she is KimYe’s first-born.
