After the tragic shooting at Washington State’s Marysville-Pilchuck High School, it looks like there is only one survivor left.
This week, the fourth death in connection to the shooting occurred, as Andrew Fryberg passed away following injuries he suffered after being shot in the head by gunman Jaylen Fryberg.
Andrew, who has been called Jaylen’s “brother-like cousin,” was hit by bullets in the back of the head while he sat with his girlfriend Zoe Galasso in the cafeteria, who also was shot dead.
Last week, it was reported that Gia Soriano died on October 26th from her injuries, and Shaylee Chuckulnaskit died on October 31st from hers.
Andrew’s family released a statement:
‘We express our thanks for the amazing support from the community, as well as from everyone around the world that have been praying for us all through this tragic event,’ the family said.
‘We also want to say a special thank you to all the amazing staff that have cared for our son and brother here in the pediatric intensive care unit at Harborview.
‘Our family is overwhelmed with the love and care that has been provided to our loved one during this time and you all will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
‘But we also ask that you respect our privacy at this time of our deep loss.’
We pray for the victims’ families, and hope that the last survivor can make a swift recovery.
