O.T. Genasis dropped by the No Judgment Zone with BlogXilla and spoke about his sensational hit, “Coco.” He also gave the deets on how the concept of the song came about, what it’s like having Busta Rhymes as a boss, and when we can expect an album.

Unlike most artists who can never predict the success of their songs, O.T. knew that “Coco” was going to be radio gold. He never expected, however, for the single to be as huge as it became. He admits:

“I came up with the [song] right there on the spot…It just felt so good. I knew what it was as soon as the beat came on… I knew it was that sh*t to me, but I did not know it was going to get the response that it got.”

The rapper, who is signed to Busta Rhymes’s label, The Conglomerate Entertainment, also spoke about what the hip-hop veteran is like as a boss:

“His work ethic is incredible. He always makes sure that I am on top of my game. Sometimes it can get frustrating but I know he just wants the best for me so it’s crazy man, he’s dope.”

As for upcoming projects, it seems like we might not have to wait for too long:

“Definitely at the top of the year. I’m still recording. I thought I had a mixtape done, then with this record doing what it’s doing, it just makes me record even more and more. I’ll start finalizing everything at the top of the year.”
