“We do what we need to do, then we get to live.”
The Walking Dead returns this Sunday on AMC to finish out Season 5 of the hit show. In this new trailer, things look bleak for the crew, but they are willing to do whatever to see another day. Michonne closes the sneak peek out saying, “Don’t you want one more day with a chance?” I think we all do.
After giving us one of the funniest things we’ve seen in ages, Jimmy Fallon has decided to pack up his bags and take The Tonight Show to sunny L.A. And in true Fallon fashion, he added some hip-hop flair to his announcement by remixing the theme to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Someone thought it would be a great idea to let American Sniper run in Iraq movie theaters, but that’s quickly coming to an end. Iraqis have protested the film, saying the screenplay refers to them as nothing more than terrorists and savages.
“It glorifies Americans and makes Iraqis out to be nothing but terrorists,” Ahmed Kamal told the Post. Kamal, a 27-year-old teacher, downloaded the film for free on a pirate website because he didn’t want to pay to see a movie in which the hero refers to Iraqis as “savages.”
The Hollywood Reporter says that the manager of a theater, Fares Hilal, withdrew Sniper last week after a call from a “senior official at the Ministry of Culture.”
In other news, the world is finally going to get a sequel to the classic novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. The AP reports:
Publisher Harper announced Tuesday that “Go Set a Watchman,” a novel the Pulitzer Prize-winning author completed in the 1950s and put aside, will be released July 14. Rediscovered last fall, “Go Set a Watchman” is essentially a sequel to “To Kill a Mockingbird,” although it was finished earlier. The 304-page book will be Lee’s second, and the first new work in more than 50 years.
Agostina Laneri also claims in the docs, Short told her, “If I choose to kill one of these n****s … I will do that. I’m that crazy n**** that will be on the news as the n**** that murked [murdered] Jamie Foxx.” She says he then went on, “Y’all should be very afraid. Very afraid.”
