Afroman made major headlines this week after footage was released of him punching a woman that made her way on stage during his performance.

After the video went viral on the web, and was discussed all throughout social media, the musician went on TMZ Live to apologize for his actions.

He told the hosts:

“I wanna apologize for my actions. It was an early show. I usually play at night when I’ve had my dinner and I medicate, I get right, but it was an early show. It was Mardi Gras. I had to walk, like, half a mile to get to the place.”

He also tweeted right afterwards:

It turns out there are some consequences for his punch, as some venues are reportedly pulling the plug on his tour dates with them.

TMZ reports:

The rapper had 7 dates scheduled in the coming weeks, but we’ve learned 3 venues have already cancelled. One of them … Ziggy’s By the Sea in Wilmington, NC … tells us they have a very Christian audience that won’t tolerate the kinda thing that went down Tuesday night in Biloxi, MS.

We also called Park Street Saloon in Hilliard, OH … and we’re told they cancelled Afroman’s show two minutes after seeing the video.

Another venue told us it’s still on the fence — however, 2 others say they’re going forward with the scheduled shows.

How do you feel about Afroman’s apology?
