The Queen of the Runway is giving up her crown.
After twenty years on the catwalk, Gisele Bundchen will retire from runway modeling in April. Brazilian publication Moda Estadao has reported that Ms. Bunchen will make her final walk at Sao Paolo Fashion Week, as it has been her dream to end where it all started…in her native country of Brazil.
As the highest-paid model in the word (Gisele earned $47 million in the past year), and the wife of Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady, Bundchen’s decision will hardly hurt her pockets. She will continue to be the face of campaigns for Chanel, H&M, and Balenciaga.
No doubt we’ll miss her unmistakable face on the runway, but we’re excited to see where the mommy and mogul will take her career next.
