After Joan Rivers‘ passing, the Fashion Police squad just couldn’t keep it together.

After Guiliana Rancic‘s insensitive remarks about Zendaya, the cast began to unravel, with Kelly Osbourne leaving and host of two months Kathy Griffin announcing her own departure.

E! officially announced on Tuesday that the program will be taken off the air for six months. After Griffin’s departure, she hit up Howard Stern to talk about her role, saying she felt like the cast should have just improvised rather than reading pre-written jokes. She also added that taking Joan’s seat was probably a mistake.

E! issued a statement about the controversial show:

“E!’s comedy series Fashion Police is going on hiatus and will return in September. We look forward to taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season. Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with executive producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of Fashion Police fans around the world.”

Fashion Police will return in September with a new host.
