It can’t be easy to win the approval of Anna Wintour, but Kanye West seems to have done it, and even hit the top of her list of favorite people.
The editor-in-chief of Vogue recently sat down with Seth Meyer for his late night talk show, where she talked about her relationship with the Yeezus rapper.
She starts off by saying, “I adore Kanye,” before detailing why it’s easy for them to become so close:
“I think one of the reasons we bond a lot is that we tend to see each other when I’m traveling or when I’m exhausted from the fashion shows,” Wintour told Meyers. “And the wonderful thing about Kanye is that he likes to talk, and basically he likes to talk about everything, sort of like Karl Lagerfeld, he’s brilliant and I like to listen, so we have a very close relationship!”
The rest of the interview consists of Anna discussing some of the best dressed from this week’s Met Gala, where she showed some high admiration for Justin Bieber’s style selections.
