There’s another Tupac movie in the works and they need your help to make it possible. Pac’s old producing partner Gobi Rahimi launched an Indiegogo campaign for his film about the rapper’s last days.

The movie – called 7 Dayz – is trying to raise $500,000 to tell the story about the last week of the rapper’s life when he was dying in a hospital after being shot in a 1996 Las Vegas drive-by. Sounds interesting. Click here to donate to the campaign.

Speaking of crowdfunding, the good folks over at Mile High Productions have met their goal to make Better Than You, a documentary about the late Patrice O’Neal, by raising over $130,000.

Led by Von Decarlo (the producer of the doc, as well as an author, television personality, and the woman who spent ten years with comedian Patrice O’Neal) will tell the life story of one of the most unique and notable voices in comedy, who passed away in 2011. The documentary will be directed by Mark Ferrell and plans on shooting this summer – right after Von’s book Speak Fluent Man is released. The movie is supported by a ton of A-List comics, including Hannibal Buress, Bill Burr, Cipha Sounds, and more.

Beyond The Lights director Gina Prince-Bythewood is speaking out about the lack of female directors. In 2014, only 7 percent of the directors on the 250 highest-grossing films were women.

“7%. Numbers don’t lie, and the numbers don’t change,” Prince-Bythewood tells THR. “There is no acceptable explanation for it. Talent has no gender.”

If you haven’t seen Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, then you need to watch the latest trailer for Pan. Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara, and Levi Miller star in the Peter Pan-based film, which hits theaters October 9th.
