Aaron Hernandez Moved Into “Segregated” Prison Unit After Guards Found Shank In His Cell
Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez has been moved into segregation after a shank was found in his prison cell.
Hernandez is seven months into his life sentence handed down in April after he was convicted of first-degree murder in connection to the death of a close friend. He was moved into a “segregation unit” this week after a “shank-like” weapon was found in his cell, ESPN reports.
The discovery was reportedly made by Souza Baranowski Correctional Center prison guards during a routine shakedown of his cell and he was immediately removed from general population one the weapon was found.
