Katy Perry always goes to great lengths to make sure that her fans are happy. But for 8-year-old burn victim Safyre Terry, she went above and beyond.

Perry wrote a kind letter to the arson burn victim, whose viral wish for holiday cards has gotten her more than 1 million this season. She’s also Katy Perry’s number one fan, Terry’s family friend Evan Lauber told the NY Daily News.

The “Roar” singer wrote, “Safyre — I heard about your Christmas wish and am so honored that you saved the top of the tree for me! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I’ll be thinking of you on Christmas Day, special girl.”

Katy also sent her “Prismatic World Tour Live” DVD, a hoodie-backpack combo, a light-up iPhone 6 case, a copy of her documentary “Katy Perry: Part of Me,” and a purse shaped like a black cat. Terry, who suffered severe burns in the May 2013 Schenectady, N.Y. blaze that killed her father and younger siblings, didn’t see the card from her idol until the day after Christmas.

Terry has received tons of holiday cards, including one from the Obama family, and one from Beyoncé. But her gift from Perry was “magical.”

Happy Holidays, Safyre Terry!
