Remember when that wave of celebrity nudes hit the ‘net a few years back? Well, the hacker in question has been nabbed and is about to pay…big time.

36 year-old Ryan Collins from Lancaster, Pennsylvania has been charged, and plead guilty, to felony violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. Though the court documents don’t include names of the victim, Collins’ cyber crimes are connected to the leaked nude photos of celebrities like Gabrielle Union, Kirsten Dunst, Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton.

In total, Collins’ hacked into 50 Apple iCloud accounts and about 72 Google Gmail accounts belonging to more than 100 people. 18 of which were celebrities. Through a phishing scam, he used phony email addresses to disguise himself as internet security service and help desk personnel, and subsequently gained access to usernames and passwords for celebs’ personal accounts.

Collins could spend up to five years in federal prison, and is facing a fine of $250,000.

The case has been transferred from California to the Middle District of Pennsylvania, where Collins must surrender and plead guilty. He will be sentenced later this year.
