Hot 97’s Ebro Darden and The Breakfast Club co-host, Charlamagne Tha God, have never been best friends…to put it lightly. From Charlamagne allegedly saying he’ll come to Hot 97 if Ebro leaves, to Ebro saying Charlamagne had a “slave mentality,” the two tend to stay beefing.

Well it appears Ebro tried to make amends with Charlamagne at a recent event — Charlamagne wasn’t having it. Charlamagne went on Joe Budden‘s podcast and said he saw Ebro at a Know Your Rights Camp event. Know Your Rights Camp is the campaign started by footballer Colin Kaepernick to “raise awareness on higher education, self empowerment, and instruction to properly interact with law enforcement in various scenario,” says the website.

According to Charlamagne, Ebro greeted him at the event and asked if they could take a photo together. Charlamagne was totally against it. “I was like, I’m not taking no picture with you,” he said. “You slandered me on the radio 100 miles per hour, you called me a coon, an Uncle Tom, and you want to take a picture?”

When asked why he thinks Ebro requested the photo op, Charlamagne replied, “The plan is to get retweets.” See below:

Ebro is speaking out in his usual passionate way. He addressed Charlamagne’s story on the radio saying, “There are times when we got to put B.S. aside.” He furthered called out Charlamagne, saying “Yo fam, you on a podcast with Joe Budden. You called him a woman beater for years. Ya put that aside and are doing a podcast. Like really fam… but you cant stand next to me for Colin Kaepernick’s movement and you’re there and you’re only there because I was comfortable with you being there fam!”

Ebro’s full response is below.

Charlamagne has yet to respond to Ebro’s comments, but it looks like a personal spot was hit for both radio hosts. Are
