On Saturday (December 16), the third annual Celebration Bowl will unite the best talent in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) on the first Saturday of Bowl season.

The game will feature the North Carolina A&T Aggies and the soon-to-be-decided champions from of the SWAC title game. The Aggies won the MEAC championship outright after a complex tie-breaker scenario, while Alcorn State and Grambling prepare to rumble for their spot in Atlanta.

As always, the third annual game promises to celebrate the heritage, legacy, pageantry, and tradition of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Starting in 2018, the Celebration Bowl will be the premier showcase for HBCU football.

Alcorn State’s dominance this season was no surprise, but that doesn’t cancel the chances of a David and Goliath-style upset from underdog Grambling State.

First, watch the SWAC championship game on ESPN (December 2) between Alcorn State and Grambling State.

Then, tune into ABC Saturday (December 16) at 11 am to watch the North Carolina A&T take on the winner, live from the brand new Mercedes-Benz stadium in Atlanta.
