It’s National Plus Size Appreciation Day, and we’re suppose to observe it by celebrating and highlighting all the beautiful people who don’t fit into what society deems as “fit” or “thin”. But it’s 2018 (almost 2019) which means it’s time to switch some things up. It’s time to change the way we think and how we view people who don’t fit the cookie cutter, mold. Just because you’re bigger, taller or curvier than some, it shouldn’t stop your confidence from shinning bright.

Just ask Rihanna. Riri may not be considered Plus Size, but she knows first hands what it feels like to be scrutinized for gaining a few extra pounds in Hollywood. In an interview with Vogue Magazine back in May, the Bad Gal revealed,  “You’ve just got to laugh at yourself, honestly. I mean, I know when I’m having a fat day and when I’ve lost weight. I accept all of the bodies. I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.”

Rih isn’t the only celeb helping women put their best foot forward in life, despite their size. Hit the for more thicky thick stars changing the standard of beauty one pound at a time.

The OITNB star inspires has inspired so many curvy women to be fierce and fly in all their thickness just by being herself. She once told Women’s Health, “Dascha, when you die this body goes back to Earth, so shine through and you’ll be a light that will live forever.”

After giving birth to her twins earlier this year,  Beyonce noticed that her body was different than it ever has been. We all praised the Queen for looking deliciously thick, but little did we know, she was struggling with her new found curviness. However, in true Queen Bey fashion, she learned to embrace her FUPA — now some folks are walking around wishing they had one.

Amber Riley will NOT be body shamed, honey. The gorgeous actress has never had a problem clapping back at haters and spreading body positivity. She once took to IG to let them know how unbothered she was with the ignorant comments about her weight, writing, “Let my big ass live! I let y’all live! I love all colors, shapes and sizes. So, just so you know, when you come on here, and you call me fat, it’s not an insult, dummy. My ass is fat. And the fellas love it. And so do I. So eat it.” And with as much talent as she has, who cares what a hater has to say.
