Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending Hot 97’s 2019 Summer Jam concert and man, was it a night to remember.
With some of our favorite names in music performing — Meek Mill, Cardi B, Migos, City Girls, Meg Thee Stallion, A$AP Ferg, Tory Lanez, Saweetie, A Boogie, and more —rap (and reggae) completely took over the MetLife Stadium, to the point that not even the rain could bring anyone’s mood down. That’s right… just before Cardi B hit the stage, MetLife Stadium stopped the concert and had everyone head inside, taking necessary precautions as severe weather rolled in. But instead of leaving, fans waited for the rain to clear, headed back to their seats, and chanted Cardi’s name in excitement. And that’s just ONE of several memorable moments.

It was an amazing night for Hip Hop, a great kick-off to Black Music Month, and I can say without a doubt that EVERY artist was in rare form.
