Courtney has no “love” for Kermit the Frog & his muppets!

Courtney Love is upset with Disney for their use of Nirvana‘s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in The Muppets movie without her consent.

She says the memory of her late ex-husband, Kurt Cobain was compromised, in her words “raped” by The Muppets rendition of the song.

Even though Courtney Love may be the person with absolute power to dictate how Kurt Cobain’s music is used, according to TMZ a company called Primary Wave Music owns half of Courtney’s rights to Cobain’s music.

To make matters worse, TMZ also stated that the Primary Wave Music group permitted the use of “Smells like Teen Spirit,” and got an OK from surviving Nirvana members, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.

Grohl even made a cameo in the 2011 Muppets film.

A good portion of the profits from songs in the catalog go to Ms. Love and her & Kurt’s daughter Frances Bean.

Luckily for them, The Muppets movie grossed considerably well.

In fact, it’s the highest grossing in the franchise.

Courtney can rock out with her tongue out because she actually gets the last laugh anyway!
