UK singer Dido has teamed up with Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar on her new lead single “Let Us Move On.”

Dido became most notably known in the hip-hop community when Eminem sampled and featured her smash hit “Thank You” on his smash hit “Stan” in 2000.

Some 12 years later, Dido does it again with another crossover smash.

“Let us move on/Let us move on/for this is short/ and it will pass,” sings Dido

NEW MUSIC: Kendrick Lamar & Lady Gaga “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”

“Like the waters in the open sea/when tribulation come on, all we can say is hopefully/ and yesterday you could probably say there’s no hope for me,” raps Kendrick.

Although this may seem like an odd collaboration, Kendrick Lamar is beginning to become known for collaborating with unlikely artists from varying genres.

The “Swimming Pools” rapper made headlines earlier this year when he announced he was working with Lady Gaga.

“Let Us Move On” is off Dido’s fourth forthcoming studio album due out in 2013.
