This isn’t good.
Like Drake, The-Dream knows that girls love Beyonce, which is why she was set to appear on his forthcoming album IV Play.
The-Dream and Bey turned up the heat with their steamy collaboration on a track titled “Fire.”
GlobalGrind was lucky enough to hear the track during The-Dream’s private in-studio listening session a few weeks ago, and “Fire” was one of the hottest tracks- no pun intended.
Unfortunately, The-Dream and Beyonce’s collaboration may never see the light of day due to sampling issues.
The-Dream dropped this devastating bomb in an interview with Vibe, stating:
“You might not hear [Beyonce] on the album because there’s a sample issue we’re having. We’ll be praying about that. We could switch it up but it’s almost like this particular sample made the record. So, if it’s not right then we don’t do it. I do don’t songs ‘just because.’”
All hope isn’t lost, fans may be able to catch The-Dream on Beyonce’s forthcoming fifth studio album, which is set to drop sometime this year.
The-Dream is currently shooting the video for the album’s lead single “IV Play.” The-Dream’s long-awaited album, IV Play, is set to drop May 28.
