Boston bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev may have an appetite for killing.

Authorities are now investigating whether or not Tsarnaev is also a suspect in a 2011 triple murder that occurred in the city of Waltham, MA.

MaryBeth Long, a spokeswoman for the Middlesex County district attorney’s office, told The Washington Post that the homicide case “remains an active and ongoing investigation. We continue to follow all leads and will review any new information that may come to light in that case as a result of the investigation into the alleged bombing suspect, Tamerlan Tsarnaev.”

Tsarnaev was reportedly close friends with one of the victims of that crime, 25-year-old Brenden Mess. The two practiced martial arts together.

According to the Boston Globe, family members of the victims said the crime happened the night of Sept. 11, 2011, exactly 10 years after the terrorist attacks rocked New York and the Pentagon.

A statement from the Middlesex County district attorney’s office said Mess, of Waltham, Erik Weissman, 31, of Cambridge and Raphael Teken, 37, of Cambridge, were found dead in an apartment the afternoon of Sept. 12.

Police do not believe the attack was random, in fact, they are positive it was someone the men knew. All three were found with their throats slashed. Now, they’re looking at evidence that might link Tsarnaev to the crimes.

And to make things more suspicious, Tsarnaev never attended his friend’s funeral or memorial service. How odd is that?

Police are keeping mum about the supposed connection, but if it comes out that he did kill them, and on the Sept. 11 holiday of all days, it could give some crazy insight to Tsarnaev’s background in terrorism.
