On February 26, 2012, we mourned the death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. But a long, difficult and challenging year later, we celebrate his life and continue to fight for justice.

DETAILS: Motion Denied! Zimmerman Attorneys Can’t Depose Trayvon Martin Family Lawyer

It’s hard to believe that it’s been exactly 12 months since George Zimmerman took the life of the unarmed team he deemed “suspicious,” but here we are, at a point where we can neither answer the questions that surrounded his death, nor find solace to stop the tears that still fall.

But as we come upon this anniversary, we must remember that the work is not done. Justice still has to be served, and Trayvon, whose life was taken away far too soon, must be remembered.

That’s why the Trayvon Martin Foundation, headed by Trayvon’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, is conducting the second “Million Hoodie Candlelight Vigil for Trayvon Martin” on Tuesday, February 26.

The march will take place in New York City at 6:00 p.m. There will be a moment of silence at 7:17 p.m. and it will begin at the South Plaza of Union Square. If you would like to know more about this event, please contact the Million Hoodie Organizer, Daniel Maree – (646) 284-6281or mareedaniel@gmail.com
