We rounded up photos of the beauties and consulted with our resident beauty expert and professional makeup artist Myrna Daher to give us a few tips and tricks on how to perfect some of our favorite red carpet makeup looks from last night.

Jessica Alba:

If you can get away with a cream to powder foundation, MAC cosmetics offers an inexpensive Mineralize Foundation that creates Jessica’s look of a flawless application.

Regardless of natural imperfections, this buildable yet natural foundation gives full dimension. Start the look off with beige toned eyes paired with a tight-liner, only darkening Alba’s top lash line. This leaves your eyes looking very big and chic. To bring drama to your eyes like Jessica, add natural looking false lashes like ‘4- lash’ by MAC cosmetics.

Alba’s checks are soft and high lighted, a look that can be attained using Hourglass cosmetics ‘Illume creme-to-powder bronzer duo.’ The bronze shade incorporates natural golden tones and allows the skin to glow when the camera hits the skin and also features a highlighting champagne beige that will warm and illuminate the complexion. It also enriches with vitamins that allow the makeup to blend fully into the skin without streaking. Finish the look with a pop of color from Smashbox’s cosmetics ‘Be Legendary Lipstick’ in the soft peach shade ‘Melondrama.’

Jennifer Lopez:

Jennifer’s dewy look is best attained by using Giorgio Armani’s Luminous silk foundation. This foundation has micro-fill technology that lies over any imperfection on one’s skin. The foundation provides a base of texturized skin with build-able coverage, suitable for all skin types.

Pair this with the Hourglass duo (mentioned above) to achieve the angelic soft-bronzed checks that Jenny is sporting.

Hourglass also offers a duo in their ‘Visionaire collection’ called ‘suede’ that is filled with pigment and will create the soft grays and colors to highlight underneath the brow area. As for the lids, liquid eyeliner dragged close to the lash line to control the thickness is the trick to keeping it fresh.

Jennifer’s brows are very sexy, but very easy to over do, so take precaution when filling in the brows. Try using Trish McEvoy ‘Precision Brow Shaper’ for longwearing hair-like strokes to give you the natural brow you want.

Adele:

Adele is wearing coaled eyes, which in simpler terms is eyeliner applied on both the top and bottom of the eye. The trick to keep the dark look from smudging is to tight-line both top and bottom and set it with a powder before reapplying with a waterproof pencil.

To achieve a tight-line, you can use a flat liner to get the crisp application and Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner that is also water-resistant and glides on without a smear or crease. After securing your application, use a kohl eyeliner to deepen the drama in the eyes.

Since Adele has a nice line on the lid, you’ll need to control your application with the gel eyeliner and use MAC’s brush 209 for best application. As for her skin, Adele’s foundation has more of a matte finish that can be accomplished with Laura Mercier’s Oil free supreme foundation. Not only is it not drying, but it leaves the skin looking natural. For Adele’s soft cheeks, use Jouer Cosmetic’s ‘Bare’ in their tint collection for sheer application for that natural look. The pop in Adele’s look is her lashes, a look that can be recreated with Shu Uemura’s mink false eyelashes in luxe black and finally, for her soft berry lips, use Rouge Coco by Chanel for hydration and shine; color 05 Mademoiselle will match perfectly to Adele’s red carpet look!

Megan Fox

Megan Fox is rocking natural all the way! Soft shades and strong brows and I love love love this look! To achieve this again, use the Trish Precision brow shaper and a base on your eyes. Then apply ‘gold dust’ from Laura Mercier, from her luster eye colour collection, within the inner corner of yours eyes for soft shimmer. This will keep your eyes in one tone and just open your eyes with the soft shimmer applied within the inner corners. Pop your lashes with Chanel’s new mascara Le Volume for instant volume and intense color within a single stroke. This mascara will plump your lashes to their fullest. A cream highlighter will do the trick along with a controlled check contour. Her lips are swiped with a pale pink that can be imitated with Laura Mercier Arabesque in the crème smooth lip collection.
