Jay-Z’s got it, but as one of the best-paid rappers in the industry, he doesn’t always feel the need to flaunt it when it comes to his fashion game. The Brooklyn native pinpointed a formula for days when he’s pounding the pavement in NYC and giving stylist June Ambrose an off day: T-shirt or sweater with controversial block printed words, jeans and a pair of sneakers (albeit sometimes extremely limited edition sneakers.)

Last night was no exception, as Jigga hit the streets to take his lady Beyonce to a movie, and then to Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert.

For the occasion, Jay opted for a $24 ‘Blame Society’ t-shirt. We don’t have to speculate the meaning behind the shirt’s slogan, because the designers Frank & Jan made it pretty clear in a description that read:

“Sh*t’s fucked and it would make you feel a whole lot better if you could blame someone else for it. Can’t come up with a suitable culprit to point the finger at? Just go for the all-encompassing and the always true.. BLAME SOCIETY.”

Sounds about right.

This look is a follow-up to the Bourgeois sweater Jigga wore a few weeks back, which proves the old truth that smart men stick to a formulated wardrobe.

Would you rock the shirt?
