According to RadarOnline, the 20.5-carat diamond Lorraine Schwartz ring would have been sold for $2 million, which was way over Kris’s budget.
The NBA player managed to purchase the ring for only $750,000! The jewelry designer basically sold him the ring for the wholesale price.
A decoy of the large rock was even made for security reasons.
Apparently, other jewelers did try to get in touch with Kris and offered to sell him an engagement ring for free in exchange for publicity. However, Kris didn’t accept any of those offers because he knew Kim really loved the Elaine Schwartz collection.
He doesn’t even want the ring back and thinks it still belongs to her. Humphries believes the ring was a symbol of his love for her.
