In yet another shocking twist in the mysterious death of 17-year-old Kendrick Johnson, a friend of the Georgia teen is revealing some important information that could lead investigators to the truth.

Soloman Arrington, 16, told the Daily Mail that he received Facebook threats just hours after he learned that his best friend was dead.

Shock was already setting in after Soloman learned that his best friend had died when he was allegedly sent the message which left him looking over his shoulder.

“I just didn’t want to think about it, really,” he said. But his mother, Keisha Moore, took action.

She said: “It was a message that said my son ‘would end up in a body bag,’ and I thought this is nothing to play with. This is not a joke.”

Moore reported the message to a detective from the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, but she said he quickly downplayed any connection.

“The detective told me I didn’t have to worry about that person because they knew where he was,” she said.

In fact, Lt. Stryde Jones told the Daily Mail that authorities were aware of the comments made to Soloman and possibly others, insisting they were taken seriously and investigated.

“They were not threats,” he said. “They were comments made on Facebook, I believe, and we followed up and interviewed those that allegedly made them.”

He said those interviews “didn’t provide us any information that would be beneficial.”

If you recall, Kendrick was found rolled up in a body bag of sorts — a gym mat — and investigators initially ruled his death an accident. But at the family’s request, Kendrick’s body was exhumed in May of 2013 and the shocking truth about what happened that day came to light.

The medical examiner confirmed that Kendrick’s death was not an accident. He was killed by a blow to the neck.

Now, CCTV footage taken from inside the gym where his body was found will be released, following pressure from the boy’s family.

A judge has now ordered that all the CCTV footage taken from inside and around the gym should now be made public.

Some clips have already been released however due to the amount of footage involved it is expected to be several days before all becomes available.

That footage may reveal how blood, which investigators claimed was not Kendrick’s, ended up on the wall of the gym and if he was attacked, or fell in the gym mats (as first reported).

We’ll keep you updated on the latest in this tragic case.
