Last week, all hell broke loose on Basketball Wives L.A. and rumors started flying that a complete cast overhaul was underway.

Many sources reported that Gloria and Laura Govan, Malaysia Pargo and Brooke Bailey were set to be axed from the next season of BBWLA.

Vh1 came out and denied the firings, but a source close to the reality show exclusively tells GlobalGrind the real deal behind the rumors that may cost a few ladies their job on the show.

DETAILS: Whoa! Four Cast Members Axed From VH1’s Basketball Wives Of LA

If you noticed, this season of Basketball Wives L.A. has been a bit more drama free, and that’s because all the drama surrounding the Miami-based show almost got the whole series canceled. So producers made a conscious effort to portray the ladies in a more positive light.

Accordingly, when a massive fight took place between Brooke Bailey and Jackie Christie on BBWLA, the producers decided to cut the fight out of the actual show.

However, Brooke went to a gossip blog and spilled the beans:

“Jackie Christie threw the first kick and after that I beat her ass. PERIOD!!! NONE of my cast members can “Beat my ass.”

This didn’t sit well with the powers that be, and they placed a strict gag order on all of the ladies, blocking them from doing any interviews. While producers hoped this would work, our source says Laura, Gloria and Brooke kept talking and adding fuel to the fire – in turn prompting the firing rumors.

The problem is, the cast shakeup rumors were leaked before the reunion show aired on Vh1.

Our source revealed, “One of the girls told me that if they fire her, she is not going to go to the reunion show.”

The reality is that the Basketball Wives franchise is trying to clean up its act, and if these girls mess up the money, they’ll be cut. It’s safe to say that after the reunion show is filmed, you can expect to see some changes next season on Basketball Wives L.A.
