ONE DAY…

Who: RE35

What: 35mm USB Digital Cartridge

Where: Nowhere, as of now.

When: Once it is developed and the kinks are all worked out.

GG Certified: RE35 has proposed an idea to satisfy photographers who don’t want to get rid of their analog equipment, but can’t avoid the digital age. The cartridge would fit into any 35mm camera and connect to computers via usb. It would have a pull-out “sensor” that captures images and saves them to the cartridges’ memory. Charging would take place when it was connected to the computer and built-in software would enable you to transfer the images onto your computer.

We wonder just how well such an invention would work since it isn’t hooked up to the camera’s shutter and the device may not know when to record an image. But we’ll remain hopeful because RE35 could bring a classic art medium back to photography.
