What exactly are rubber bullets? They are rubber coated projectiles that can be used in many guns, but are most commonly used in riot guns to subdue aggressive behavior.

According to Less Lethal Ammunition rubber bullets, they are intended to “cause pain but not serious injury” and they are a “non-lethal” alternative to regular projectiles, which we see every day.

Either way you cut it, you don’t want to be hit with a rubber bullet. Furthermore, “non-lethal” and “not serious injury” might be misleading.

After all, take one look at the demonstrators of Occupy Oakland who have been tweeting pictures of their wounds from rubber bullets and you’ll easily see that these weapons cause more harm than advertised. 

In fact, take a look at all the harm rubber bullets have inflicted already.
