I guess we can call President Obama the $20 Billion man after he successfully demanded that BP set up a $20 billion escrow account to pay out claims to the people of the Gulf Coast.

So today in Congress BP CEO Tony Hayward faced the nation and said that he was

‘Deeply sorry the spill gushing for eight weeks now and I understand the seriousness of the situation, the frustrations and fears that continue to be voiced,’

Hayward tried to side step a couple questions when it came to accountability, claiming that “I wasn’t involved in any of the decision-making,’ which lead to a heated exchange between Hayward and Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif who felt that Hayward wasn’t answering the question s posed to him.

What shocked everyone during the testimony was a protester breaking in and smearing oil on her self stating that “you should go to jail.” The woman, identified as Diane Wilson, shouted to Hayward from the back of the room: ‘You need to be charged with a crime.’ She was grabbed by Capitol police and taken from the room.  Are we shocked by this outburst? We aren’t, in time of crisis people are passionate and let their actions speak louder than their words.

What’s even bor shcoking is that the G.O.P. is apologizing to BP for what they call a ‘Shakedown’ by Obama, what is going on here? A Republican from Texas, Joe Barton said;

‘I do not want to live in a county where anytime a citizen or a corporation does something that is legitimately wrong, [it is] subject to some sort of political pressure that, again, in my words, amounts to a shakedown.’

C’mon son this is some bs, what are we supposed to do? If you ask us BP got off to easy with $20 Billion.
