In a move that was destine to happen the Department of Justice will be taking civil action against the state of Arizona. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Ecuadoran television that the DOJ, under the direction of President Obama, ‘will be bringing a lawsuit against’ the Arizona act, Clinton said.

The Arizona immigration bill or Senate Bill 1070, allows law-enforcement officers to ask about someone’s immigration status during traffic stop, detainment or arrest if reasonable suspicion exists.

The Senate bill has been a hot button issue since it was signed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer in late April of this year, people are angry about the law and it now seems something will be done to stop the law. President Obama has long stated that Arizona is ‘Misguided’ and needs to be evaluated, good to see that the White House and DOJ are not pushing this issue aside.
