For the latest in Leighton Meester’s ongoing efforts to jumpstart her music career, the multi-talented actress teams up with new Universal Republic signee Stephen Jerzak. Meester is on the hook of ‘She Said’, Jerzak’s uptempo dance track we were hip to by our friend over at The Prophet Blog.
Jerzak is a throwback to the mid-aughts, when record companies discovered acts on the grandaddy social networking website, MySpace. The 17-year-old kid inked a deal with Universal after the label liked what they heard he was producing on his own using Garageband.
Meester, meanwhile, is still in the lab working on her debut album, but if her work on this record right here is any indication of things to come, things should be good. Jerzak and Meester make a great combination. Hopefully it won’t be the last time the two of them work together.
