Wyclef Jean has been at the forefront for the Haitian people for as long as we can remember, his efforts after the Haiti earthquake were amazing that is why everybody in all aspects of pop culture contacted Wyclef to see what they could do to help. Everyone knows that Wyclef is Haiti’s son.

So in recent days there has been buzz that Wyclef will run for President  in Haiti in the 2010 election. This would be a great look for Haiti, it will boost the moral of the people and it will shine more light on the ravaged country.

Wyclef hasn’t counted out running for President, in a statement the Jean family said;

‘Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward … If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.’

We would love to see Wyclef run for President of his homeland, take a look at some reasons why Wyclef should be President.

Wyclef is a musical genius, he can make music a major factor in leading people to prosperity,lifting their spirits and giving them hope for a better future.

Fund-raising is the biggest part of politics and Wyclef can raise funds, when the earthquake hit his efforts to raising money was unmatched, to date the Hele Foundation has raised more money than any other foundation.

Wyclef is Haiti’s son, unlike other politicians, Wyclef would most definitely be for the people, he knows Haiti he is a student of it’s history and is a vital part of their culture.

Political connections make a huge difference in Presidential campaign, he has the ear of Bill Clinton who has dedicated his life to making sure Haiti will be left in the right hands.

Change is needed in the region. Political corruption, crime and violence would cease under a Wyclef Presidency. Wyclef can learn not what to do from politicians here in the U.S.

Wyclef is part of Obama’s nation but he isn’t an Obamanation, Wyclef was active supporter of President Obama and what he learned from Obama he can institute in his Presidential campaign for Haiti.
