We all know about the Japanese-American War that took place about 69 years ago, but what you probably didnt know was that after the Japanese-Americans were released from internment camps they recieved reperations for what they were put through. As I read about this I wondered, why weren’t African Amercians given reperations for slavery? No offense to the japanese, but the African American race went through a lot worse things than they did. Our ancestors have been beaten, lynched, killed, raped, and we still haven’t received any form of payment for this. That’s why I feel the government is secretly a racist group, we have been tortured for years, but they give money openly to those who have been in internment camps for a shorter period of time compared to the duration of slavery!? I think this is only because they know that the African American race as a whole won’t stand up and fight together and since they knew the Japanese did buisness with them regualary they didnt want any problems with a seperate country because they had power. Honestly, this isn’t fair because even in todays modern society the black person is potrayed as a lazy, no sense-having, wannabe which almost all of our race don’t do anything about. I think because of this the government feels they can just keep quiet about and not expect anyone to dig it up. Before I go, tell me what you think about this topic.
