For those still unfamiliar with Krys Ivory, the young singer is an artist on Ryan Leslie’s Next Selection label and slowly but surely the young woman is making some noise. Ivory herself is a mix of Pink, Rihanna with the songwriting skills of Keri Hilson.
‘Black Teardrops’ is one of those pop ballads perfect for the rides we take right after we know a relationship is finished. The song’s tempo and mood is upbeat, a subtle way of being motivational, but the lyrics paint a more vivid, darker picture about a girl crying over her man so much, her mascara has been ruined and changed her tears from there clear color to as the song title says, black tear drops. Definitely something we can hear being played on the radio, and a full proof sign Ryan Leslie has something special in Krys Ivory.
