Do the phrases “giggity giggity goo” or “peanut butter jelly time” mean anything to you? If they do, then like me, you are a huge fan of Family Guy! It’s been over a decade since the Griffins first graced TV screens across America, and the show does not let down.

 

Family guy has long been criticized over the show’s tendencies to use interchangeable jokes and unrelated storylines. McFarlane’s response to the criticism is that it is “completely founded and true.” In fact, one of the best things about Family Guy is its lack of a cohesive plot. Any real Family Guy fan knows an episode of Family Guy is not the same without a couple “giggities” and Peter knocking down the front of Cleveland’s house. That being said, here are 5 reasons why Family Guy should win an Emmy:

1. Whether it’s Peter fighting a human chicken, Cleveland falling out of his bathtub, or Quagmire ‘giving a reach around to a spider monkey while reciting the Pledge of Allegiance,” there is never a dull moment.
