Retirement??? i dont think so. Some people couldnt handle opinion. I’m never scared of criticism. That’s what makes the world go round. You have to say retirement to spice up the story. Anyway, this is the 2nd time I’m typing this story because the stupid computer glitch erased it the first time. i guess computers have feelings too. Maybe this computer is hating! Lets get into it..internet dating!
First, I’m in my late 30’s, so all these new social websites and gadgets for meeting people are something thats right out a Star Trek movie to me. The closest my generation came to anything like this was the ‘Party Line’ which was a social forum via the telephone. ‘Party line was a song to by 5th Platoon. It was so stupid (not the song)! How could anyone just jump on the phone, start revealing private information to the public and then ultimately ask to hook up?
There were predators lurking just ready to prance on any individual who opened themselves up. Unfortunately that led to stalkers, rapes, robberies and even death related incidents. I remember my sister being on that phone, running up the phone bill listening to people chat. I begged her to get off the phone knowing how unsafe it was.
Todays young adults are much more advanced. there’s Facebook, Myspace, and the infamous Twitter, which if you choose to, you could post your every move. Ask yourself this, why would you want to do that? What ever happened to meeting someone face to face and actually seeing if there is some chemistry. What’s going on…we lost our lyrics? No poetry or nice words to charm a lady? Must not have game since every one is typing, LOL, BRB..etc. What kind of poetry is that? I don’t know half the acronyms today.
And what about people posting fake images (that goes for photoshop to) because the lack the self confidence to show their true selves. Thats just going to far!! There’s beauty in flaws! Thats what makes us unique. Show me a perfect human and i will make you a millionaire overnight. Its just non existent.
And sexting or sexcam….what is that?? Do people get pleasure from this?? Man I must be in the wrong business. Is human touch about to be obselete?? if so, show me how a computer can make a baby! Next thing you know people are getting married on-line. Hell, maybe you don’t even have to meet the bride.
Listen people, were getting outta hand. Get back to human touch and old school romance. There’s someone for everyone out there and you don’t need to fill a criteria page to find them. Trial and error always seemed to work.
