GlobalGrind was strolling around the LES yesterday when we came across some crazy street art: posters of Apple CEO Steve Jobs and dead rocker Kurt Cobain repping Nike on the side of a telephone booth.
The black and white, ink jet ads were in several telphone booths scattered across the LES and SoHo and appeared to have been made by KATSU, a graffiti artist and vandal known for painting sides of buildings with fire extinguishers.
In Japanese the word Katsu is uttered in reference to one’s own enlightened state and/or to induce one to move beyond rationality or logic. More after the jump.
