GlobalGrind hit up The Box in New York City to check out a showcase of singing phenom Cris Cab. If you don’t know who he is then you soon will. This 18-year-old Florida native has been creating quite the buzz, releasing songs and videos via Facebook and other media websites. He’s had a ton of label interest, but Cris is going to wait to finish high school this May before taking any meetings.
Pharrell Williams, who is one of Cab’s biggest supporters, hosted the showcase. The place was packed with screaming fans and label reps as Cab took to the stage with his acoustic guitar. He performed his rendition of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black & Yellow,” and surprised the crowd with performances of Kanye West’s “All of the Lights” and Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me.” GlobalGrind approves!
