With details of Bin Laden’s death all over the news, we couldn’t pass up the chance to ponder what one listens to when going on a mission to capture and kill the most wanted man in the world.

Unfortunately, we haven’t been in contact with the Navy Seals elite “Team 6,” but we’ve selected a few tracks that could get someone riled up enough to participate in a world-changing raid on terror.

The Brownsville, Brooklyn-based duo meant business when they threatened to “Yap that fool” and “Kidnap that fool!” Sounds like the perfect track to listen to when you mean business. Listen to the song here.

“Ether,” Nas

Words don’t kill, but ether can. Nas attempted to take out Jay-Z when he spit this verbal ether. Jay didn’t falter and proved that he was invincible, but this song attacks. Don’t sleep on its ability to get you ready for war. Listen to the song here.

“Better Off Dead,” Ice Cube

“Better Off Dead” is the one minute and 3 second-intro off Ice Cube’s 1990 “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” album. This track seems fitting considering the Seals’ mission was to sniff out the modern day America’s Most Wanted. Listen to the song here.

“Who Shot Ya,” Notorious B.I.G.

Featuring a sample of David Porter’s “The Masquerade Is Over,” “Who Shot Ya” sparked controversy when it was released in 1995. Tupac felt the song was directed toward him and insinuated that Biggie was involved in his shooting. Sixteen years later, the murders of both rappers are still unsolved, but we’re all aware of Bin Laden’s fate. Listen to the song here.

“Protect Ya Neck,” Wu-Tang Clan

The debut single from one of hip-hop’s most fearless collectives, “Protect Ya Neck” is a what you see/hear, is what you get kind of song. The Clan offers some valuable advice: “watch your step.” Listen to the song here.

Bonus Song: “Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye,” Steam

Normally sung at sporting events, or interjected at just the right moment in film or television, Steam’s anthem would certainly work as just the right song to play when getting ready to snuff out the enemy. Listen to the song here.
