Our girl, Miss USA Rima Fakih was sent home last week from WWE’s “Tough Enough,” but that doesn’t mean that it’s the end for her. On last week’s episode, Rima got one on one help from WWE big man Bill. After taking a bunch of bumps and bruises, it turned out to be more than she bargained for as the grueling workout exposed her lack of training.
Rima broke into tears and told Bill that she doesn’t want to quit. She pushed on, unfortunately when it came time for Stone Cold to announce the bottom 3, he called Rima’s name and told her he wasn’t going to call anyone else. Rima pled her case, but Austin’s mind was made up and Rima went home.
We caught up with Rima on the red carpet last week and talked to her briefly about the show. Check it out below.
Global Grind: What was the toughest part of taking the bumps and bruises, along with all the flopping and falling?
Rima: You know what? They don’t really show the fact that I’m the only one on the show that’s green as grass, but they don’t show that they actually kept pushing me. The longer I stayed, the more they kept pushing me, the more slams I’d get from everyone. It hurt. And I tried to keep a look on my face like I could take it, but when I go down to the house, that’s when you really feel the pain, you break down.
GG: Being Miss U.S.A., why did you make the jump from pageants to wrestling?
Honestly, it was offered to Mr. Trump and my organization for me to be on the show because I had hosted WWE and they knew I was a fan. I’m like, ‘why not?,’ it’ll be fun to try something different. What really pushed me, is because people said, ‘you can’t do it, there’s no way you could survive.’ For me, when someone tells me you can’t, it makes me want to do it more. If you told me right now, ‘go jump out of a plane,’ and I didn’t want to just because, I figured, you can’t, it makes me want to do it. I broke a lot of barriers and I feel like I want to break more! It’s ok for women to be tough and still look good.”
