You know you’re living in the future when you can brew your own beer in your basement or in the shed out back!

This 4th of July Weekend, don’t just get buzzed on any other beer though. Support your country and drink American, responsibly!

Zymurgy magazine, the official publication of the American Homebrewers Association, has released its ninth-annual list of the 50 best beers in America. To assemble the list, its editors ask readers to submit lists of their top 20 favorite beers. The list came just in time, too.

Topping and wetting the palates of Americans was Russian River Pliny The Elder, a beer we’ve never heard of. This is because its only sold in Cali and is only available in one state on the East Coast, Pennsylvania. Go figure.

Dogfish Head topped the list as top brewer, whose Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA came in third, a tie with Kentucky Breakfast Stout.

Visit the Home Brew Association to see the complete list!
After the break, check out the best buzz worthy beer to get your weekend holiday wet and wild!! (Responsibly, of course!)

What’s it say about Kentucky when there’s a beer called Kentucky Breakfast Stout? It says party state, if you ask us! It tied for 3rd place with Dogfish Head, found after the break!

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA is from Delaware aka Murderwhere. No connection.

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale ranked lucky number 7.

Sam Adams Nobel Pils ended up in a 6 way tie for 20th place. (Blank stare).

The King of Beers was the King of Jeers but we’ll still guzzle it till we’re dizzy. (Womp womp).

Bells Two Hearted Ale came in second. We’ve never heard of it either. Guess we should get out more.
