Halloween is on Monday and everyone’s favorite go-to track for the spooked out holiday is of course “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
If you’re going to a party this weekend, chances are this track will be played and everyone on the dance floor will put on their best Michael Jackson impersonation.
So to get you ready for that moment and make sure you don’t look like a fool not knowing at least some of the choreography on a thriller night, we’ve compiled the best “Thriller” flash mobs.
From the prisons of The Philippines to weddings to movie sets, you gotta check out these viral renditions of the King of Pop’s masterpiece.
More than 1,500 inmates at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center had perhaps the best and most talked about “Thriller” flash mob. With more than 49 million views to date, Byron F. Garcia spoke on his reasons for choosing to do this routine saying:
“What made me choose Michael Jackson’s Thriller for the aerobics routine is that Michael Jackson was a convicted man to the eyes of those who hated him. He would have been in imprisoned had it not been for settlement arrangements, they would say. Still Michael Jackson’s frailty as a human being makes him like one of us — whether one is a prisoner or not.
The message of the Thriller is a message for all of us.”
Hollywood’s own Jennifer Garner performed the routine in her blockbuster 13 Going On 30, along with co-star Mark Ruffalo.
The scene showed Jennifer doing her best MJ moves in stilettos and is definitely a highlight from the movie.
In this “Thriller” flash mob, five brothers crush the “Thriller” dance at this wedding. Never do they crack a smile or giggle. they’re as serious as the zombies themselves! This video has over 15 million views on YouTube and we’re sure it’ll be copied in weddings to come.
Heather Hall’s Studio One took their “Thriller” flash mob to the Brookside annual “BooHaha” Halloween block party in front of Ida Red Boutique. This was the second annual “Thriller” flash mob at BooHaha featuring the Ida Red & Studio One collaboration. This was planned and choreographed so well, and only includes a bunch of chicks!
Exes Chris Brown and Rihanna performed the dance while on tour together in Perth. One of them has the routine down-packed, while the other tries their best to get by.
It’s all for fun! Happy Halloween!
