Followers of onetime furniture designer Maurizio Cattelan will have an opportunity to see the Italian artist’s entire body of work when it goes on view at the Guggenheim in NYC in a few weeks.

Called ALL, the show features over 130 sculptures which have raised eyebrows and will run from November 4, 2011 to January 22, 2011.

Cattelan’s source materials range widely, from popular culture, history and organized religion, to a meditation on the self. His sculptures are humorous, as well as profound and can be described as hyperrealist. Think a man hanging himself, huge middle fingers flipping you off and police officers turned on their heads.

For this survey exhibition, Cattelan will create a dramatic site-specific installation in the Guggenheim rotunda designed to encapsulate his complete production to date.
