What’s up everybody!! A lot of people know me from Making The Band 4.. But my story started way before I auditioned for the show. My parents separated when I was 4 years old and divorced when I was 5. Growing up, I remember seeing other kids getting picked up from school by both parents meanwhile I had to split my time visiting my dad on weekends and holidays. When I was young, it was much harder to understand than it is now.

Me and my mom moved around a lot. I grew up in Canarsie, Brooklyn and moved to Long Island when I was 12. In those couple of years I changed schools a few times and moved about 7-8 times. Through everything I feel like I’m lucky to have grown up the way I did because it taught me a lot about life and to appreciate the small things.

I’m writing this as a message to other young people who are going through or have already gone through this.   It’s not easy but understand that you are not alone.  Parents make decisions sometimes that kids don’t understand but that is in their best interest.

Stay strong and focused on school, extracurricular activities, your friends and family etc..

I would love to hear your thoughts or for you to share your experience.
