I AM TRINA. YESTERDAY WAS WORLD AIDS DAY. HIV/AIDS IS THE #1 KILLER OF AFRICAN AMERICAN AND LATINA WOMEN IN MY AGE GROUP. PLEASE GET TESTED, YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT
I lost a very close friend of mine to HIV/Aids and the thought of seeing someone in so much pain is heartbreaking! I was there with them until the very end and as much as it hurts it gave me more knowledge on how serious this disease is, and how it is affecting our people each and every day. This disease doesn’t care about race or gender it’s a deadly disease that’s killing our youth and our country! We need to be responsible for our actions and help encourage our kids to wrap it up and get tested
World Aids Day means a lot to me for a number of reasons most importantly the fact that statistics have proven that AIDS is the #1 disease which affects the African American community. The disease is something that needs to be brought to the “forefront” around the world within all cultures, ethnicities and genders; AIDS is a real issue that cannot & should not be “overlooked”
With the appropriate use of informing ourselves, media involvement and sticking together we can be BIGGER than this atrocious disease that is killing so many of our loved ones near and far. As a celebrity with a voice, I wanted to take the time out today and encourage everyone to GO OUT, GET TESTED and become aware of your STATUS.
I would also like to add, that a great DEAL, of individuals feel like they are beyond contracting the disease, but I really need everyone to understand the disease is very REAL, and the only way to know your status is to go out and get tested! Take a stand for not only your physical health, but to also put your mind at ease.
DO YOUR PART. IT’S SO IMPORTANT FOR ALL OF YOU TO GO OUT AND KNOW YOUR STATUS!

· Volunteering at your local health clinic
