Florence Welch was a vision in gold last night as she made her way on the red carpet at the annual Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards held at Claridges Hotel in London.

The hauntingly beautiful and stylish singer was a picture of poise and mystery in an intricate beaded, gold Alexander McQueen gown with matching ivory knuckle clutch.
This was the third year of the Harper’s Awards which recognized and celebrated 15 women who had a great 12 months, including Jessie J, who won Breakthrough of the Year, Helena Bonham Carter, who took Role Model of the Year, Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon, who scooped Businesswoman of the Year and Tom Ford, who was awarded the Man in a Woman’s World accolade.
Regarding Welch’s gown, we think this is the first time that an empire waist dress actually looks fantastic on a woman and Florence kills this 2012 runway look with a masterful stroke of genius.
